Insurance housing — also known as ALE housing (Additional Living Expenses) or displacement housing — is temporary housing provided to policyholders who are displaced from their primary residence due to a covered loss, such as fire damage, water damage, mold remediation, or natural disasters.
Under the Additional Living Expenses (ALE) provision of a homeowner's insurance policy, the insurance carrier covers the cost of temporary housing while the insured's home is being repaired or rebuilt. For Policyholders
If your insurance claim has been approved for temporary housing under ALE coverage, contact us right away. We'll ask for your claim number, your adjuster's contact information, your displacement location preference, and any special needs (pets, medical requirements, school districts, accessibility).
